The CMMC framework  - (Presented by Tom Tollerton, CISSP, QSA, CMMC-RP / Managing Director, Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP)

The CMMC framework was adopted by the Department of Defense (DoD) in January 2020 to enforce protection of Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) throughout its supply chain. The framework contains five levels to distinguish the maturity of an organization’s cybersecurity controls and will be required of contractors prior to award of contracts with DoD.  Tom will provide more background and details around the CMMC and what it means for government agencies and for the contractor community as it is adopted and recognized by DoD and other government agencies.
